How do we clean your Ducts?

1) We start by running a high compress hose to the furthest heat register in your home. The furthest register is usually upstairs. (Hight compress air will be used as an Agitator to dislodge dust and debris stuck in your heat registers.)

2) After we lay down a high compressed air hose and before we use the compressed air, we will hook up our high-velocity suction hose to your leading heat truck.

Our truck-mount vacuum will produce the horsepower required to create that negative suction power needed to remove and keep down the dust in your air duct system.

The dirt and debris will be evicted from your home and collected in our collection bag outside.

3) We will use various tools to help clean the heat vents, such as Forward and reverse air tools, whips and agitators tools.

4) after cleaning the heat side, which includes all heat registers and the main truck line, we will switch over to the fresh air side of the air ventilation system.

The cold air returns are typically more dirtier than the heat side.

More dirt and debris will accumulate within the cold air side.

5) we will start by cleaning the cold air Registered in your main home, removing the grills, and then directing high compressed air into the cavity of the space between the Joyce line in your wall.

The truck vacuum suction will act as a suppressor and a remover by both keeping down the dust and providing a path for the dirt to travel down to be Evicted from your home.

Most of the dirt from the home's cold air side will end up in the main truck line. From here, we can easily remove the dirt by coaching the dirt into our suction hose through various techniques and with the assistance of variations of tools.

6) After the cleaning has been performed and if there is no need for the Mob and Scrub services, we will disinfect the duct system using a product known as benefit.

How do we charge for Duct cleaning services?

Larger homes will incur higher charges due to the extended time needed for cleaning.

Additionally, location can affect pricing. Since we are based in Cornwall, certain areas within the Ottawa region may incur a slight travel charge. However, we make every effort to minimize or avoid these travel charges whenever possible.

From our experience in duct cleaning, there seems to be some confusion. Some customers mistakenly believe that vent cleaning is the same as duct cleaning and expect the pricing to be similar. However, comparing vent cleaning to duct cleaning is like comparing apples to oranges.

To clarify, vent cleaning typically involves a technician using a vacuum to remove surface dirt from your vents. This service is less expensive because it does not address the deeper parts of your HVAC system, such as the main trunk line or the register trunk lines. Vent cleaners only handle surface-level cleaning, which is why the service usually takes around 20 minutes to an hour.

Is there value in vent cleaning alone? That depends on your needs. If you're only looking to have the surface of your registers cleaned, then vent cleaning for $99.00 to $200.00 may suffice. However, if you're expecting a thorough cleaning of your entire duct system, vent cleaning will not achieve that.
